At just 14 years old, Stefano Tami is a dedicated young athlete with ambitions of becoming a professional golfer. His journey in golf began a bit later than most; he picked up a club for the first time at the age of 10. Since then, he has been on a determined quest to catch up with his peers and refine his skills to reach the competitive level he aspires to.

Stefano's background is as diverse as his golf experience. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, to a Swiss father and a Filipino mother, which instilled in him a rich cultural heritage. He spent the first three years of his life in Ireland before his family relocated to the bustling city of New York. After living there for several years, his father's career took them to Shanghai, China, where they embraced new experiences and opportunities. Most recently, from 2019 until June 2024, Stefano lived in the Philippines. It was there, at the prestigious Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, that he started taking his initial steps into the world of golf, falling in love with the game and honing his abilities.

In pursuit of his dreams, Stefano made a significant decision in June 2024: he left in-person school to devote himself fully to golf. His commitment is extraordinary; he continues his education through online classes in the United States, attending lessons from 6 AM to 8 AM and again from 9 PM to 11 PM. This rigorous schedule allows him to focus the rest of his day on improving his golf skills. He spends countless hours at the driving range and on the course, working closely with his coach to fine-tune his technique and build his confidence.

Stefano’s unwavering dedication and hard work have begun to pay off. On October 27, 2024, he celebrated a significant milestone in his young golfing career: he won his first tournament with an impressive score of 76. This achievement is not just a testament to his skill but also to his relentless pursuit of excellence and his ability to overcome the challenges associated with entering the sport later than most of his competitors.

Stefano’s journey is just beginning, but with his passion, commitment, and the support of his family and the fundamental guidance of his coach, he is well on his way to achieving his dreams.
